renter liability
The insurance protects owners in the event of damage or theft of their property. However, renters are responsible for the items when they are entrusted with them.
The renter's liability may be incurred as follows:
- Repairable damage: liability for repair costs, which are assessed by our partner workshops.
- Major damage: liability for the replacement value of the piece.
- Theft or loss or non-return: liability for replacement value of piece.
In the event of repairable damage, the renter is responsible for the costs incurred for the repair of the piece, assessed by our partner workshops.
In the event of major damage, the renter is liable up to the replacement value of the piece.
The security deposit is collected upon return of the rental. If the repair costs are less than the security deposit, the difference is refunded. If the costs are higher or if the renter is liable up to the replacement value, the difference is charged.
In the event of theft or loss, the renter is liable up to the replacement value. In the event of theft, it is imperative that the renter files a complaint as soon as possible, we will also file a complaint.
In the event of a delay beyond 24 hours following the agreed date, the renter is liable up to the replacement value if he/she has not contacted ORNEST.
The security deposit is cashed and the difference with the replacement value is invoiced.
